The application to change a foreign company name involves two (2) processes as follows:
(A) Process 1: Company Name Search and Reservation Application
To check the availability of a proposed company name, the applicant must:
1. Log in to SSM4U and select CRS.
2. Fill in the Company Registration No. field. Then, click on the Get Company Details tab.
3. Proceed with the following steps:
(i) Application Information
Enter the proposed company name.
(ii) Clarification
Enter up to three (3) relevant business codes.
4. Tick the declaration checkbox to confirm that the information provided is true and accurate.
5. Click Preview Submission to review the application and download a PDF copy for reference.
6. Click Submit & Make Payment to submit the application and proceed with payment. An email notification will be sent upon successful submission.

(B) Process 2: Application for Change of Company Name
Once the name reservation application has been approved, the applicant must submit the application for a change of company name within thirty (30) days from the date the special resolution is passed.
1. Log in to SSM4U and select CRS.
Select the company that intends to change its name and click Apply.
2. Under the Particulars of Change or Alteration Relating to Foreign Company (Section 567(1)(f)) section, enter the following information:
3. Upload a certified copy of Certificate of Change of Name from Origin Country.
4. Tick the declaration checkbox to confirm that the information provided is true and accurate.
5. Click Preview Submission to review the application and download a PDF copy for reference.
6. Click Submit & Make Payment to submit the application and proceed with payment. An email notification will be sent upon successful submission.
